Lucas Marquardt, President/Manager:
Lucas Marquardt was born in Saratoga Springs and was raised in upstate New York. His father was a Standardbred trainer who later made the switch to racing and breeding Thoroughbreds; his mother is a retired librarian. Lucas’s higher education included time at the National University of Ireland Maynooth, where he studied literature and history. Lucas earned his bachelor's degree in Media Arts, with a concentration in Audio Engineering, from Boston’s Emerson College. In 2002, Lucas joined the New Jersey-based Thoroughbred Daily News, for whom he has regularly covered juvenile, yearling and bloodstock sales. He also has written for New Jersey Thoroughbred magazine, American Turf Monthly, and ESPN, among others, and has been a guest host on Sirius Radio’s “Down the Stretch” program. Lucas has bred and raced Thoroughbreds in New York and West Virginia. He resides in Lexington, Kentucky.
Mark Reilly, Webmaster:
Mark Reilly was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. He has a B.A. in History and Philosophy from University College Dublin, a M.Phil in Medieval History from Trinity College Dublin, and a Ph.D. in Media and Communications from The European Graduate School. Mark has been working as a designer, filmmaker, and web developer since 1997. He has worked for Channel Thirteen/WNET, Scholastic, Columbia University, and New York University. He specializes in building custom content management systems using Drupal. He resides in Brooklyn, NY.
