Lucas Marquardt - Owner
Lucas was born in Saratoga and spent his early years at Saratoga Raceway, where his father trained Standardbreds. His family later switched to breeding and racing Thoroughbreds. Lucas began writing for the Thoroughbred Daily News in 2003, focusing on sales coverage. In 2014, he won the Stan Bergstein Writing Award for a story on the rise and fall of synthetic tracks in North America. He launched ThoroStride in 2011. Lucas lives in Lexington, KY with his wife Ada and their pug Lily Bean.
